    Leslie A. Brangers, DVM

    Dr. Leslie Brangers is the owner/practitioner of Village Animal Clinic since 1988.  A graduate of the University of Guelph’s Ontario Veterinary College in 1985, her commitment to client relationships and the highest level of companion animal care continues to draw patients from all over the GTA.  Her areas of special interest are surgery, oncology and ultrastenography.

    She has been actively involved with the CVO, serving on the Complaints Committee for a term of six years, as well as being on the Board of Directors of the Veterinary Emergency Clinics in Toronto.

    She shares a home with her husband and two sons, and numerous dogs, cats and fish.

  • Carolyn-Woodward

    Carolyn Woodward, DVM

    Dr. Carolyn Woodward joined the practice in August, 2001. After graduating from the University of P.E.I.’s Atlantic Veterinary College in 1997, she practiced in the United States for four years before moving back to Canada and joining the Village Animal Clinic as an associate. Dr. Woodward particularly enjoys behaviour issues, surgery, and diagnostics.

    Dr. Woodward enjoys her off-time with her two children, a dog, a cat, two rats and a fish named Wanda

  • Kathy Hopkins

    Dr. Kathy Hopkins, DVM

    Dr. Kathy Hopkins joined the practice in Septemer, 2001. A graduate of the University of Guelph’s Ontario Veterinary College in 1986, she has practiced at numerous clinics in the Greater Toronto area. Dr. Hopkins enjoys patient medical care, client relations and diagnostics.

    Dr. Hopkins shares her home with her husband, three teen-aged children (who definitely keep her busy), a dog and two cats.

    Isabel Taylor, Head Technician

    Isabel has been at the Village Animal Clinic since 1998, when she did a co-op program through Markham District High School. Her exceptional dental techniques give pets healthy smiles all over the GTA. She has taken courses on ultrasound interpretation, and has a special interest in dog obedience. She shares her home with her boyfriend, two dogs and a cat.

    Lindsey Brine, Technician

    Lindsey began her career as a veterinary technician at the Village Animal Clinic in 2005 after graduating with a nursing diploma from Durham College. Lindsey enjoys assisting veterinarians with procedures and client education. She shares her home with her husband, her two children, two dogs, and two rabbits (Lindsey loves things in pairs!)

    Keyra Daniels, Technician

    Keyra is the newest member of our staff, having joined the Village in 2009. Keyra is a very versatile employee, sharing her expertise in both front reception and back office. She loves all animals, and her home includes dogs, cats, rabbits, gerbils, turtles and birds!

  • Sarah and Scarlett

    Sarah Herbert, Receptionist

    Sarah has been a receptionist at the Village since 2008. Sarah’s friendly disposition puts our clients and patients at ease, and she keeps things organized and flowing in the front office. Her lab cross and her ocicats are the lucky recipients of her affection at home.

    Karen Von Engelbrechten, Receptionist

    Karen has been at the Village since 2005, where she always has a smile for clients and a friendly pat for patients. She lends a helping hand wherever one is required, and keeps the staff well-fed with her culinary talents! She shares her home with her three boys, two dogs and a cat.

  • Marilyn

    Marilyn McCormick, Veterinary Administrator and Assistant

    Marilyn is the second longest standing employee, having been with the Village Animal Clinic for almost twenty years! She manages all of the client and patient records and reminders, along with being responsible for inventory. Her smiling face and kind disposition make her a favourite at the Village with clients, patients and fellow staff members. Her cat, Huey, is the lucky recipient of her affections at home!

    Karen Berggren, Hospital Manager

    Karen has been at the clinic for over twelve years, yet is rarely seen by clients as she keeps busy behind the scenes at the Village. Animals have always been a passion, and two dogs and cats currently share a home with her, along with her husband and two daughters.

    Danny Goodridge, General Manager

    Danny has enjoyed being a part of the Village team for over twenty years.  He keeps everyone smiling with his quick wit, and his gregarious personality is infectious with both staff and clients.  Danny is married with two sons and along with everyone else at the clinic, is a huge animal lover and especially enjoys walking his dogs.

    Rosebud, Clinic Pig

    Rosebud is a renowned pig, causing quite the sensation around town! Village Animal Clinic has become known as the “clinic with the pig”! Clients often ask to see Rosebud and watch as she demonstrates her latest tricks!

  • Mav, Buff and Horace, Clinic Cats

    Maverick, Buff and Horace are the distinguished clinic cats at the Village. Serving as our goodwill embassadors, they happily greet both canine and feline patients and their owners!
